The Way We Celebrate Our New Year's Day 2023!

My Lil family, the three of us celebrated the New Year with my in-laws here at home since we just lived in my parent's in-law's house.

December 31, 2022, around 4 o'clock we started preparing the ingredients to be cooked for the food for New year's eve.

We only cooked three dishes. Hubby's oldest brother cooked the pork bone stew. I cooked the pork Menudo and the wife of hubby's younger brother cooked the spaghetti.

Because the eldest son of my parents-in-law came home here with his whole family, his wife and two children from his wife's place in the ILO-ILO. They celebrate Christmas and New Year here with us.

Hubby's younger brother's house is just attached to their parents' house. They also did not go home to his wife's province, so they celebrated Christmas and New Year with us here.

It would have been a reunion of the siblings with their families if hubby's two siblings who were also in faraway places had come home.

Around 9 p.m., we started our family home evening. A Church program for family and our leaders encourage us to do it weekly on Monday night but we can always adjust the day and time when the family members are not available.

I make the program and assign the family members to what they will do. It's just a simple written program on a digital notepad because when hubby conducts, he will memorize it in his brain, but I want to have a written program, even if it's just in a cellphone notepad.

We have a little lesson and talent show, and more games for the kids. After our family home evening, while waiting for midnight, we did karaoke but baby Exo didn't want to give or pass the microphone to us hahaha.

His song request is a one-way ticket, raining tacos and waka. He just did a concert, we were all his audience ahahhaha.

When midnight came, greetings to each one here at home and watching the fireworks displays, even if we are far away, we can still see the beauty of the fireworks and we will still be entertained.

While our baby Exo was at the concert, we ate, so after watching the fireworks display, we went to sleep right away.

In the morning we went to church with the whole family and hubby's oldest brother with his whole family, they returned to their home in Ilo Ilo.

After church, we went to a family friend's house to take the vitamins they will give to dad, but we stayed there for a while and ate, they have a lot of leftovers from new years eve food.
