Hubby's DIY Bouquet Surprise | Valentine's 2023!
Hubby's bff asks him to accompany him to buy flowers and prepare a surprise for his wife. I thought they only went here downtown to buy flowers, but it's not. They went to a very far place at Sirao a known tourist spot here in Cebu City to look for cheap flowers because the flowers in the market today are very expensive, a piece of rose is a hundred pesos.
So they went to the farm but they said it was still expensive there, 12 pcs for 500 pesos, they only saved 100 pesos, but the gasoline for the motor was equivalent to 100 pesos hahaha. If you have been to Sirao, you know that it is far from the city.
Since they went together, I was expecting that hubby would surprise me with something also, but I know that hubby doesn't have a big budget so I didn't expect anything big either.
But I told hubby before that if he plans to surprise me, don't buy flowers, they're expensive and not useful, they're just for display hahaha. The flowers are just for rich people and we are not rich in money we are only rich in love. I prefer to receive surprise gifts like money or my baby's needs like soap and vitamins hahaha.
When hubby came home, he went upstairs to our room immediately, carrying something as if he was hiding it. Later on, he called me, which I already knew so when he called me I smiled, I knew he had prepared a surprise for me hahaha. But I answered that I will eat dinner first before I go up there.
He went downstairs to have dinner, but after eating, baby and hubby went upstairs first because I was still washing the dishes. Our bedroom door is closed, we never really close it, it's always open that's why Exo our baby begs to open the door he is not used to the door closing. Hubby was playing an online game on his laptop talking to his playmate the bff.
When I opened the door, I saw hubby's simple surprise set up, the lights were off and the flashlight was on in front of the table, the wooden small table he made, he brought it into our bedroom and covered it with our red blanket. He use Exo's magnetic drawing board he wrote a short but sweet message.
Look, it seems like he is not planning to give the 500 pesos hahaha. Because it's not taped like the two 50 peso bills, it's just layered on top hahaha.
The whole bedroom was dark but there was a little light on the table, the first thing I saw was the three pieces of red roses and chocolates. When I turned on the lights I saw money, two 50 peso bills and a yellow bill folded, with a smile on it, 500 peso bill I immediately thought so my lips, eyes and heart smiled hahaha.
But the first thing I said was "Wow, how much is this?" and what was on my mind was why to buy expensive flowers, instead of flowers should have bought what we need like Exo's vitamins because we run out of his vitamins already.
But he said, his bff just gave him the Rose, so it's free, he just bought a piece of coloured paper for one peso and the blue ribbon he just took from my things. The two chocolates were also given to him for free by his bff. The only thing he bought was a coloured paper with one peso price. It's like the flowers and chocolates were bribed by his bff for helping him with his surprise for his wife.
All I know is that we only have 500 pesos of bill money, and we still need to fit it to the end of the month, so I didn't expect anything from hubby for Valentine's. But because his bff brought him with him to surprise his wife, I was also expecting a surprise from Hubby lol I think maybe hubby has hidden a little money to buy a little surprise. And there is hihihi.
But I asked him again and again if he used our 500 pesos budget until the end of the month and the tone of my voice was hostile when asking hahaha. Good thing he didn't use that hahaha. He said the 500 is still whole hahaha and wishes it will reach the end of the month. Fighting!
There are also coins, they are hidden so I thought it was just the two 50 peso bills and the 500 peso bill. He said don't include the 500 in the picture. I said I already took a picture with it.
I understood him right away after he said it even though without his explanation or reason because someone ask him to borrow 100 pesos from him earlier yesterday, but he didn't lend it because we were on a tight budget and he also had a plan for me. So I took a picture again without the 500 peso bill.

I was touched by hubby's effort, even though we had limited money, he still found a way to give me a simple surprise. Hubby is always like this, even on my birthdays we always have limited money every birthday but he always finds a way, simple surprises his DIY birthday cakes for me are touching. Soon I will share with you here the DIY birthday cakes he made for me.
After the pictorial I removed it and put it in a glass with water.
I thought was that he made the bouquet at his BFF's house, it's just up here, he said, he was in a hurry to do it when he came home so I wouldn't catch him up and I might suddenly go up here upstairs and caught him making the surprise bouquet for me.
Exo already ate one of the chocolates and I already put the other money in my piggy bank before I got in the mood to take a picture of the bouquet hahaha.

Ang sweet naman sis. Iyong love ko naman ewan kung ny pa surprise din. Usually kasi ako talaga ang nag susurprise sa kanya.. Mahilig ako sa mga ganern eh.
Abangan natin sis baka may pa surprise sya sayo mamaya, mahaba pa naman ang araw hihihi. Pero tapos kana nag surprise sa kanya sis n?

It's always the thought and effort that counts, and your husband definitely put in both to make you feel loved and appreciated.
