Island life

I come from the small island of Guernsey. If you arrive here by boat this is one of the first things you will see, the lighthouse at the end pier. A popular spot for rod fishermen. It the depths of winter it can be overtaken by waves of sea. but here a still summer evening with the sun about to set and disappearing in the west, it is a lovely site. I had to take a photo. Be warned if you do take a nice walk to the end it is not as romantic as you might think, as it often has a hint or over-powering smell of fish. Still it's a great stop and if your lucky you might see some dolphins.
