After the first 2 phases, i thought to myself that "will it be worth it to start doing things i never did before?" or "say doing things in a different way from the way i did before" or maybe i need to know more about other stuffs, i continued to explore other things and guess what! I found many more amazing things that i didn't even pay attention to, things i see and use almost everyday, they all stare at me in the face, lets explore more...

Cap spike

image

This is one of my sister's most used item in the house, i see it almost everyday but i didn't know why it looked the way it did or what the spike on the cap is meant for, if you are a lady, you probably know what I'm talking about already. Cosmetics tube creams and balms comes with a cap mostly with spike on it's head, ever wonder what the spike is used for? Never worry, the answer is right here, the spike on the cap head is meant to be used to puncture the seal of the tube instead of looking around for a pin for hours for the same reason.

Sound hole

image

Most smart phones (especially iphones) has a tiny hole next to the back camera and also at the base of the phone, this little holes are believed by some people to be meant for ventilation but that's totally wrong, those holes are microphone portals that allows for transmitting sounds on calls or while making videos.

Plastic under a bottle lid

image

Have you ever noticed that there is a plastic/rubber disc under a bottle lid? (especially soda lid), yea, there is a disc there, now, this disc is not just meant to cover promotions or free drink promo, this disc are there for the compactness of the contents of the bottle, it tightens the bottle therefore trapping even the preservatives/gases in the bottle, if the disc is not there, our soda drinks will go flat.

Blue eraser

image

We all used an eraser at some point in our lives no doubt, when i was in primary school back in the days, the most available erasers were made of 2 parts/colours, the white and the blue, the white part is typically meant to clean off pencil marks on a regular school paper, but what is the blue one used for?
Back then, I and my friends believed it was meant to clean off blue ink from book pages, not until some days ago did i know that i have been wrong all along, the blue part of the eraser is harder than the white part and is therefore used to clean off paintings or drawing pen markings from thicker papers compared to the regular notebook pages, i guess that explains why the blue part of an eraser tore my book pages back then.

Little loop

image

This is probably one of the oldest feature in the fashion industry that's still trending until now, the little loop behind men shirts, yes, it's been trending for as far back as in the 1800s, the loop serves two purposes, the first and most obvious purpose is that it is used to hang shirts on an anger. In the 1800s and 1900s, it happens that when a man is in a relationship or dating a lady, he cuts off the loop to let other ladies know that he is taken, in a nut shell, the second purpose the loop serve is to indicate if a man's relationship status.

There is no doubt you've been enlightened, don't forget, their is no University of experience, neither is there a Faculty for it as it is and will remain the best teacher.

Cheers!!!
