Hello my fellow Steemians,

As I mentioned in my last post here I got an electric guitar kit for Christmas and decided to post about the process and the final outcome here on my blog.

It's kind of a big deal for me, I have put my art on skateboards and surfboards on T-shirts and furniture before, actually I'm always decorating my things with doodles but never have I dared to draw onto a guitar.

Guitars for me are these precious things that I don't want to spoil with a bad paint job.
I know the kit will not produce a quality instrument (unless I decide to upgrade on a lot of the hardware and electronics) which I'm not sure about as I don't know enough about how all these components work together to just randomly combine different parts and hope they will sound good in the end.

I was looking for an e-guitar building tutorial for dummies but what I found was guys talking about technical shit I didn't get.
So for now I decided to put the guitar together the way it came apart from the strings and concentrate on the artwork.

To get some inspiration I went through Pinterest and made my own board with images that appealed to me.

After that I made some sketches on what I want the guitar to look like as I don't want to just copy someone else's style.
At the moment I'm torn between a comic/doodle style and a more "mature" stylised flower design.

The only thing I am sure about is the background colour and therefore I started on the first coat. (Already making a big blob of paint on the backside)
