Fox Tales Week #34 entry: Dripping and Streaming

It all started one day at work. I had been working way too hard and my boss knew it. I thought he was the one pushing me. Turned out I was the one pushing myself. He came up to me at my desk one day and told me that I was pushing myself too hard and I was gonna burn out. He said I should take a vacation, a working vacation. There was a conference with some big shots talking about some new technology. It was using AI or something. He wanted me to go there, take notes and give him a report on it all. Most importantly, he told me to relax and take it easy. That didn't exactly pan out. I woke up on the plain to people screaming. I was still out of it when we crashed. Now, a few weeks later, after going without food for weeks and being on the edge of death, I was knelt down, looking up at one of the other survivors, one of the former survivors at my feet, and their blood dripping down my chin as tears streamed down my cheeks.
