My GrandMother Does Not Like The City
My grandmother has refused to come to the city again because she feels that we eat here is poisonous, the very first time she came around, she said we should prepare a different type of meal for her, she could not eat what we were eating, she claimed it will make her die young and when she said that I was like why will you die young at 85, that old woman never seizes to amaze me.

She was supposed to spend a month with us but she ran back to the village within the space of one week and even all through her stay, complaints was the major thing that she did at every slight opportunity, she only liked the speed at which things were done.
She complained about the fact that we used gas to cook, she said fire wood was a preferred option to use because she felt the gas could explode at anytime, I explained her on several occasions that there is no way a gas would just explode on its own, but how will I blame a woman who has spent 85 years of her life in the village with little or no technological improvement.
She complained as well about the clothes we had on, she said we did not cover our bodies properly and it will make men disrespect us, I tried to explain to her that things have changed and people no longer think the way they use to think before, but my grandmother has refused to listen or accept change, so she left us in anger and she said she will not come to greet us again, except we come to the village to see her.
