My Silver quarters
So i saw @silverd510 post earlier with his beautiful washington quarter and i wanted to show off my seated, standing and barber quarters. I keep all of my coins in self adhesive flips which does not help with taking pics as light bounces off them so apologies for the images,
Seated liberty quarter 187? Someone has drilled the date but to nice to scrap
Standing liberty quarter 1925 & 1927 somewhat worn but enough detail to be collectable
Barber quarter 1897 p, 1898 p, 1903 o & 1904 o in various states and one drilled which is best condition unfortunately

Some nice old quarters there. Was it 1965 they moved away from Silver content?
Yes 64 was last silver year for quarter, as for half dollars they dropped to 40% 65-70

Is there a specific reason or do you have a personal theory on why the holes were drilled through them?
Were they worn on a necklace?
