Voting on Steemit and Hive
One thing I have noticed since the Hive hard fork is that posts are receiving much less rewards, logical yes because many people have gone to Hive and are no longer voting here. But the thing is there isn't that much voting going on on Hive either most of the posts that even get votes are those of people with level 60 or higher.
I am looking at both sites during all day and actually I don't think Steemit has any less activity than it had before the hard fork and Hive has no more activity than Steemit, which makes me think most people are doing what I am doing, working with both probably posting the same things on both platforms.
I have not powered down in either platform as I don't see any need to, I don't have that much on either platform and most importantly I don't know if I can get cash for my coins as the lock down has many people with their hands tied so who would I sell too? Apart I am also in a lock down and there is not much to buy here so I don't actually need more cash than what I have at the moment.
I hope both platforms make it and most of all I hope a cure and a vaccine is found for this virus, I am sick of being home.
Busy for some reason will not let me vote. SteemPeak is in some sort of limbo for me. I can vote on the old Steem interface, so there you go. Honestly I haven't decided to migrate to Hive. I am of a mind to see what it is in 6 months before I will bother. And to me, Hive is just another shit coin, no more or less.
Yes, I think the future is not bright for either of the two.
Someone just put out a post addressing activity on Steem the other day.
It showed Steem's activity is way down and dropped it's ranking significantly. From 6 to almost 40, I think.
That being said, most of the whales and highly active dolphins left, so this accounts for that. You might get near the same amount of votes on Steem, but most will be worth less.
As for activity in Hive. I'm actually getting better interaction over there. I posted the same post on both. In hive I received double the votes, 300% higher earnings and 1000% more comments.
The reason votes are low on Hive is because there are no autovoting apps there, so it's all done manually.
Steemauto is down today to add support to Hive, which will cause the votes to skyrocket.😀
I look at activity by the number of posts per minute, no complicated algorithms just count the posts per minute, Steemit is just a little down from where it was a month ago. Take into account that Steemit's activity was down since hard fork 21. As for Hive it is good you are getting so much more interaction, for my part I am not getting much.
