My Steemit Experience, So Far
Well I powered down completely. I now only have 50 Steem Power, I have to work to get that up. The money I got was really needed, it wasn't much but it sure helped. So to everyone who thinks Steemit and Steem don't work, I can assure you I am proof it does work. If you are new here you might find it hard and get discouraged, don't, you just might eventually find a niche where you will write with enthusiasm and people will find you and you will start reaping the rewards. Of course I can't guarantee this but if you work and don't give up there is a good probability you will manage to enhance your income with Steemit.
OK, now as for turning my Steem into cold hard cash in my hand, I at first used Bittrex but they started asking for a lot of ID's etc. which made the experience quite frustrating. So I gave blocktrades.us a try and it has worked. I have used them 4 times, the first time anonymously, then I joined the site and now have a history of the other three transactions I have made. Is it expensive? I guess their prices are competitive, of course the more you send the lower the percentage that is taken so I would wait until I have a big enough amount to exchange for cash.
Most people will send their exchanged BTC to their wallet or directly to their bank, as I live in Honduras I have to use another exchange where I can sell my BTC, I use localbitcoin.com, of course that takes away another percentage, but what the hell, I get the money in my hand quickly and that is what I need.
So I think my experience here has been good, I am not getting rich obviously, I got about $1,000.00 in 16 months but I only really started taking it seriously about 6 months ago, but it is really free money, and if I ever get to find the niche where I can write and people will be waiting for what I put out, then I think I will have it made, because you see I can manage on much less than someone from say the US or Europe can, so that is one advantage I have over you guys, and here the playing field can be made even just by knowing people. So I guess I do have a chance of making it real good here.

Thanks for a good read. It's good to see your steempower has gone up by 7 already. :) Finding a niche is something I'll certainly work on.
