My First Day with Actifit
I downloaded the actifit app to my phone today and have been using it all day. I was just able to get a count of 5,548 meters for todays walk, hardly half of what I actually walked today. After using it in the morning when I walked a distance of nearly 2.5 kms. and only logging in 500 mts. I decided to look at it more carefully.
Apparently if the screen is blocked the counter doesn't work, I believe that is what happened this morning. There is a settings button where you can seemingly avoid this from happening by ticking a box, I will see tomorrow if this works.
If it doesn't work I am going to have problems with the app because if it is not locked and if I put it in my pants pocket while walking my phone just opens up all the apps it has and is constantly making noises which really upsets me, so I am hoping that this button works.
Overall it was an OK experience I believe if I can get over the preceding annoyance I can use this app every day, I even learned how to cheat on my walking by just holding the phone and moving my arm back and forth. I don't know why I would want to do that, as what I really want is to have an idea of how many kilometers I walk every day, but since I like to experiment I found that this can be done.
If all goes well I will download tomorrow's activity on Steemit.
