Interesting Times

We are really in interesting times, There are major problems all over the world and I think ideologically we are split halfway, one half want to go this way and the other half want to go the other way. I think we are actually being played for fools.

Just look at Brexit, so the UK voted to leave the EU, a dumb idea if you ask me, and it seems it is going to be a very rough ride for the British unless they revoke article 50 and come up with a compromise or hold another referendum. Of course if the UK doesn't leave that would make 17 million people very upset and if you do leave another equal or probably larger quantity of people will also be upset. I believe a second referendum should be made but five years after Brexit, rejoining would probably win and the UK or whatever is left of it would wind up back in the EU, only as a member without any special privileges and probably have to use the Euro. But at least the referendum results will have been honored.

Venezuela, seems like regime change is wanted at any cost, I also think that is dumb, as much as the opposition wants to pretend the government does not have a lot of supporters a coup or any other way of ending this government will result in chaos, I see no solution to this problem except an election, but then whoever loses will say it was fraudulent and we are back at where we started.

We have some electoral problems in Africa which also bring with them a lot of problems and a distinctly divided electorate nearly always these end up in civil war or again chaos. This can also be seen in other parts of the world, we have apparently opposing forces vying for hegemony.

Like climate change, if it is man made or not I think is irrelevant we as humans are destroying a lot of nature with our many destructive habits which need to be ended regardless of their impact on climate change, but people don't see that they only see the other side saying there is or there isn't climate change and immediately they start attacking those who don't think like them.

Now isn't this kind of fishy to you? I think people should and probably are interested in their and their families welfare, and beyond that in their community and country. Yet they will fight something that is for their own good because it is a lefty idea or a conservative idea.

I think all of us are playing into the hands of those who will manipulate us, because as is well known united we stand divided we fall, and having us divided is one of the ways the elites keep us under control.
