The Grand Canyon

I don't know what words to use to describe the majesty of the Grand Canyon. There are no amount of pictures or videos you can see that would justify the scale and scope of the Grand Canyon, I mean nothing! After arriving at the GC I was completely blown away I couldn't fathom the shear size, grand does not explain it. The size is beyond any thing one can imagine.

I took this photo at the right time, the sun was going down the low level clouds where forming and you can see the Colorado River as well. I took this on my phone and quickly colored in SnapSeed. It's nothing like looking at it in real life though.

Here is a really cool fact about the Grand Canyon Park. It never closes! That's right it's open 24/7.
One of the greatest part about the Canyon is going there at night the stars are amazing!
Next time I come I will bring a timelapse camera to capture the majesty of the night sky and the canyon.

The GC is not like anything else, it's not like Paradise of Fiji, or the Mountains of Norway, no the Grand Canyon is something far beyond that. It's majesty is unexplained, it's unattainable, it's pure breathtaking awe of the shear size and expanse of the Canyon. There is nothing like it on earth, nothing!

A lot of people love to go hiking down the canyon, I assume that is awesome and a wonderful experience I will come back to partake in that in the near future.

I hope you have a chance to visit this incredible place. No longer will I refer to the Grand Canyon as a large hole in the ground. One has to see it to understand.
