Do you know that everything you buy in life is affected by some factors either psychological or environmental? From the cloths you buy, the grocery you ordered, the fast food you buy and a lot more, businesses uses psychology to get buyers to buy their goods. You think this person doesn’t have an idea about buying and selling, how will he say most of our buying choices are psychological? Then let me proof myself by sharing with you a things about how companies make you buy their products or services.

Branding

Why will you prefer a Nike or Puma shoe instead of a random shoe? It is called branding. Branding can be dated as far back as 2000 BCE in Egypt when people traded on the bases of Barter (Exchanging good for goods) but soon people started stealing other people’s goods to resell. It was at this point that people were asked to put special symbol and logos on their produce and livestock to show ownership. This has now become the modern branding and a lot of companies use this a lot. If you see Nike, what do you see? You see Michael Jordan, Ronaldo, Tiger Wood or any other famous who wears the show and shows off the logo by the side. Since people look up to this celebrities so much, they start to buy Nike and see it as the best, as they want to be like their celebrity, thereby affecting the purchases.

What would you do if you buy a seasoning cube from so many seasonings from different companies and you prepare a soup which your spouse gave a thumbs up to, or you pick up a chocolate bar from a group of random chocolates after which you got kisses and affection from your spouse after giving them, or you buy a drink from a bar for your boss and got a promotion that same day after he/she told you she loved the brand, will you not keep to that brand? Sure you would as your brain will associate the buying to the success even when they are not different from the rest. What do you think will happen if you cook the soup and your spouse was in a bad mood that he/she didn’t notice the taste and just went away without a word, or your partner breaks up with you after giving her the chocolate even though she didn’t taste it, or your boss fires you even after telling you a cold thank you? I am sure you will not buy it anymore. So most times, companies that know they have equal competitors always use the spirit of friendship and happiness as advertisement. They know you will come back to buy more if you share the product with people you love in a happy mood.

Scarcity

This is mostly done in the luxury industry and they are often classed with royalty and class even though they are limited and scares. The company use this to trigger people to buy the product at any price and immediately because they know that once the products are over, they do not have a chance to keep one for themselves.

Perceived Value and Price

This is the point where consumers would weight value and price before purchasing. This often happens in supermarkets as people will prefer to shop at Walmart than to shop at Aldi because of the price difference and the value they get. A lot of people will prefer to buy from Alibaba to EBay since things from Alibaba are cheaper and have the same value. Consumers have to weigh their options and decide on what they perceive is valuable based on price.



If you think this psychological method of sales doesn’t work, then let me know but the truth is, this methods work so well and they have been existing for a very long period of time but consumers do not always notice.

Your publication is very good, I am aware of the dominance they have over us at the time of purchase, but most do not, most say, "I buy it because I want to" but they would never accept to think that it is because psychologically they dominate them, the common must not even know it. They just keep doing and saying what they do and say, they're like robots! Greetings!

However, this human learning activity can actually be seen from various aspects, namely social, educational, criminal, organ function, medical, religious, industrial and many more. For those of you who are focused in the business world, "psychology also embraces the world of marketing."

These methods do their job well, which is to capitalize customers by providing the attractive added value of feeling good, give them a nice environment and for this h many examples, from pleasant music when shopping, to atmospheres sprinkled with colors and elements that make the client live a unique and pleasant experience

Branding exclusively distinguishes products and the way a product is branded determines if it will be acceptable by the market or not.
