The dry climate is perfect for growing grapes...
All that is needed is water from the river and there is enough sunshine to power most of the farming processing, packing and other facilities.

My parents just put solar panels on their roof. It's very popular out here in Arizona... It is more expensive upfront because of the instalation and the purchase or rental of the panels, but eventually it gets cheaper than traditional power sources (or so they were told) :)
