Looks like Covid19 and the blood type susceptibility is correlating
There is some research going around on how people of Blood Type A are more susceptible.

If when look at the map of where people whose ancestral blood type is more predominantly A; it maps well to Europe. North America is also more A than this map indicates because their current populations have a high percentage of european ancestry.
If we look at South America and Africa we may also be seeing why the virus is not spreading as quickly and why the far east outside of China and South Korea have not been as badly affected.
