Faith is very misunderstood.

in #faith10 years ago

As a principle of power, faith is very misunderstood. This is not a new problem.

The law of Moses was a law of performances and ordinances.

"Works" so to speak.

Many of ancient Israel did not see faith underpinning all of those activities and the schoolmaster to Christ.

Paul had the same challenges with the remnant of Israel, the Jews of the diaspora in his day.

In response we have this marvelous explanation of what faith is, how it operates and how it has always been necessary.

Faith is blind. You believe blindly at something with the same you don't something else. You believe your Christian God is true while you reject the Hindu ones.

They do the same for you. Faith flourishes because it requires no evidence. People believe because they are afraid of death.

If you think faith is blind, then your understanding of faith is very immature...

Do you believe in in the Hindu God Shiva? If not, why not?

Faith is also believing that there is creator who made everything in heaven and on earth and that includes humanity. There are lots of people who refuse to believe that God created us. Because of their knowledge, they refuse to believe the existence of God. I remember someone commented on me telling that he does not believe in the Bible and God because he knows the ultimate truth.

I wonder what could be the ultimate truth for him.

Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities that are not seen. This is well describe in the bible as well as many holy books.

I have always stated that I have a deep faith, but do not follow any one religion. My faith is rooted deep within me. It guides me, calms me, and allows me to appreciate the miracle that is life and finding purpose and gifts within our time here. I am only a speck tapped into a greater energy.

Since Isaac was big enough to carry the wood he could have fled, but instead chose to trust Abraham and God.
The Red Sea did not part until the Israelites stepped in the water. Until they had the faith God didn't perform the miracle.

Exactly, faith precedes the miracle... and miracles do not build faith if it is absent.

So many upvotes and so many do not understand .
Ask someone of your close ones how he sees faith , you will get different answers. How one can believe in something that he can't see or feel?
By me we are all imprinted in conciousness with some kind of information or code that is leading us to that direction . God or Creation whant something from us , is that a mental power of will or beleive that we project ? Or it is our lack of knowledge regarding our selfs so that we need to have imaginable entity in our heads to pray to ? We are good in science as a civilization but when it comes to deeper understanding of our selfs and surroundings we are just started. We didn't make a full step further then our forfathers or even the ancient ones when it comes to understanding of faith and beleiving . Nice video btw , thx

It is not works our life must just show that we are thankful for what was done for us

Sure, true gratitude is manifest by emulation of the Example of perfection.

Faith is the only coincidences in against various religions, this may be the starting point to eradicate the holy Gerra ........... just a dreamer as I can ask this great sacrifice. A Created sabienda of interest. Thanks for sharing your post
