My Best Photo?

My life has been pretty interesting. I visit many places time and often and take pictures. In free time, I look back to those photos and smile alone. The photo below is probably the best photo of me with lots of memories and emotions attached.

Let's talk about background. The background is of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. It is located in Bhaktapur district of Nepal, my home country. There are ten heritages in Nepal which are enlisted in world heritages list of UNESCO and it is one of them. Nepal is secular country with about 80% of hindu so, we can find many temples here. In this Durbar Square alone, there are many temples i.e. Nyatpole Temple, Dattatrata Temple, 55 windows Temple etc. Along with historical and cultural importance, the architecture is masterpiece and shows advancement of architecture in Medieval period.

After getting into college, I along with my friends had gone to this place for visiting. Many hours, we wandered around the place and observed architecture. I was grown in Hindu family, so I was connected to this place by cultural means. Of course that dragged me to this place otherwise, I would try to visit natural places. While visiting, I observed every carving in woods, Aakhijhyal, stone structure and I was mesmerized. In the medieval period, people had done this much things in our country.

I felt proud to be born in this country. But, since past few centuries, the only thing we are doing is feeling proud. Feeling proud of things our ancestor did. We are not doing anything to make our future generation proud. In this melancholic situation I stood before the heritage and my friend, Hari took this picture of me. I take this picture as growth of me.
