The Clemson Tigers were the pre-season number 1 team. Through the first three weeks they remained there. This week, they had their first challenge against ACC foe, North Carolina.

This should have been an easy victory for the Tigers. The problem is nobody told the Tarheels.

Clemson was forced to successful pull off a two point conversion to escape 21-20. This might put their number 1 ranking at risk with Alabama winning big.
