Ethereum Classic Air drop- worth a go?
I feel that this airdrop is definitely worth a go, in my eyes there is very little downside with a lot of upside.
Firstly Ethereum classic is the original Ethereum that decided not to erase the Dao project incident that lost 150 million dollars that year. Ethereum is the fork off the orginal chain and chose to erase the Dao incident.
Ethereum Classic has been consistently in the top 20 in terms of Market cap, and is looking to break into the top 10, here are my thoughts are why this could be possible.
It uses proof of work mining for transactions, with Ethereum looking to switch to proof of stake Ethereum classic will be the obvious alternative to all the miners left abandoned.
It has a great team behind them and they are alway developing there platform.
Ethereum network is under strain and needs someone to assist with the brunt of the volume ethereum classic is growing traction to be seen as the alternative.'
Ethereum Classic will ride the Brand of Ethereum on the way up as Ethereum becomes the chosen ecosystem in blockchain technology.
So as we can see from my synopsis is that ETC token has a lot of advantages going for it, but I still predict after the Callisto airdrop there will be a slight dip maybe 15 % but I am sure it will recover, possibly a good entry point to buy more or starting investing in this token.
Callisto looks like it has some interesting points such as its cold staking ability will allow holders of Callisto to earn while not having to run a node thus making it more similar to a Kucoin which rewards holders through a fee split.
I am curious to see how it will actually work, apparently it will be in month increments so you have to hold the coin for at least a month at a time.
Callisto's main dev is called Dexran and little is known about hi except he started a project called Dex that had a similar cold staking ability.
Knowing all this I will be involved but long term I think it will be a good time to buy more Ethereum classic, as it will be a good price entry and in the near future when Ethereum switches to proof of stake there may be huge upside, also lets not forget that ETC was a top 5 coin at a point last year.
