The shooting sports.

I think my generation was one of the last to know what happens when you have a complete embracing of a simple tool and pass around common sense safety and handling rules.

In my day and I do remember the beginning of the school shootings and the glorification of those acts by the media as well as others that Inspire so many copycats.

Honestly enough had you attempted to do that at my schools for most of my youth. I do remember having several military trained and reservist soldiers as teachers.

Let alone all of the hunters and sportsman and sports women who were no nonsense about everything and personally had guns in their vehicles or a permit to carry concealed.

Early on I learned quite a bit about them and the fact that they would engage any threat 2 the wards entrusted to them.

Quite a few of them would gladly lay their life down to protect their children from harm.

These days not only is school security completely and totally Lacks any cohesion or security. Teachers here in Washington actually are hoping to use a miniature baseball bat as an official weapon issued by the department of Education.

So let's say about 20 years have gone by and instead of having more Progressive laws better training better technology we still cannot defend the children.

And personally I'd have to say that not only with our own rights but also the progression of Technology we have went from firearms to a wooden Club as an investment in our children's safety.

In my day the threat of being engaged and having multiple individuals return fire let alone the simple mob bum rush which crude is highly effective. Let alone having military trained as well as highly competent professional shooters and competition shooters at our schools.

These days there is no protection there is a police officer who always arrives late. There is quite a bit of focus on having cameras and passive security.

There really is no enablement of personal security or training. Let alone being placed in bubble wrap and not allowed to enjoy being a child and rolling around in the dirt.

So when we really get down to it instead of going forward in life we are actually trying to go backwards.

Now a lot of people say that we need change however I say that the old ways have worked for us since we have figured out how to record history and share our story so hopefully I'll eventually see humans get to the point where we help to educate our young to build a better future.

I do see a lot of amazing things from our youth including an example of an active shooter in progress at a school who actually was attacked by a student disarmed and then was held for the police. Examples of human beings defending students as well as their fellow man should be inspired.

However anyone guilty of committing one of these acts shouldn't be referred to by name but only a number of a small insignificant and completely vile kind of human being.

Now as much as we want to know the name we should redact them and turn their history into just a number as well as an example of how to fail at being a human being.

Personally I think self-defense and martial arts should be a part of the curriculum.

Enable both the boys and girls to protect themselves from harm as well as having the ability to focus on learning your own self.

I would highly recommend martial arts is part of the educational system and one of the greatest ways of inspiring a student to the next lofty goals.
