Hi guys!

Here goes my first post on steemit, I'm not an avid user, but I thought I might aswell post some of my drawings.

I'm taking a drawing course were I get to draw old greek/roman/french/danish statues four times a week. It's nice - I feel like I'm getting better by the day.

Here's the first two drawings I did, back in october. I had trouble using the total area of the pages, so these are kinda small.

This is a little different. I like doing these kinds of drawings where you get to determine and explore facial structure and locate corners and "flat" areas in the face. I don't think I got it right in this though.

These are some of my newest creations. Our teacher purposely told us not to do shadows in our earlier drawings, and instead focus on the line work. But by now we are learning the do's and don't's of laying shadow in the drawings, which is more difficult than expected(!)


While I'm pretty happy with this last one, the face actually doesn't look quite like the statue. The guy has way too much chin on my drawing, but at this point I don't feel like erasing the bottom half of the piece to correct it...

Though I do need to learn how to treat the drawings more as experiments and pieces of "training material" instead of "finished art".

I am now halfway through the course. I'll probably upload more drawings sometime later since this seems like a cool community :)
