Pokemon Go: Finally Completed Meltan Research Task

After months of getting stuck on the Special Research Task to unlock the newest Pokemon, Meltan, I was finally able to complete it during Adventure week! Special Events have been the best way to get this dones as some the Pokemon involved are rare around whete I play. When the Research Task was first announced for the launch of Pokemon Let’s Go, it was the easiest to get most of the steps completed but I started to play that game instead of get the quests done. Things got complicated and missed the opportunity to complete quickly.

First, I recall getting stuck on the oart to catch a Cubone which are not common in my area. After months, the Pokemon movie event started which featured those that appeared in the movie which included Cubone; so I was finally able to complete it. Then, I had to wait for an Aerodactyl! However, I had heard about this so I had saved one in my encounters from the event and its research tasks. That was lucky as it would have made this even longer!

As Adventure Week started, the last step was taken as I need to catch Omanytes or Kabutos which are spawning more frequently this week from the event. While I already had a Meltan from the Mystery boxes, it felt great finally being able to complete the quest. Potentially in time for the next one as Pokemon Go Fest is due to probably highlight one when it occurs in a couple of days.
