Live action: Safari Sunday - Monarto open plains zoo
Hey ya'll, we're just hanging around with the white rhino at the moment at the Monarto zoo. If you haven't seen one of these things up close you're missing out...These lads are big! It's been a good day so far, the weather is good and the animals seem friendly, fortunately.
We're off to see the carnivores now, the cheetah, lions and hyenas. Hopefully they don't decide I'm a delectable morsel they might like for lunch!

It's pretty cool, like anything it's only what you make it. I suggest the meet the keeper events if you go. It's not the cheapest place to visit but can be a lot of fun.

Yeah, tell me about it. We normally wouldn't go during school holidays but was mother in-law's birthday today so not much choice. Bloody kids everywhere.

The photography is cool, around here in Venezuela there is a zoo where there were rhinoceroses, but they are no longer there :(
