I'm smiling now but...
Today was a bit of drag, a typical Monday. After yesterday's hiking expedition I managed to drag myself out of bed and make it to work on time only a little a lot late and even managed a smile or two directed at some of my colleagues. I pretended to do some work feigning interest the whole time and within an hour I was at a café writing the blog about my hike which you can see above if you follow the link. A coffee, ham and cheese croissant and one hour later I was done and headed back to the office for some appointments. It was a productive day from there which finished around 6pm when I arrived home to feed the cats.
I headed over to my mother in-law's right after that as my wife was there gardening with her mum all day and we planned to have some dinner together. A fairly typical Monday night...And one that always ends in awesome home made desert.
We'd decided to try and new Indian takeaway that has opened up not too far away and so off we went to pick up our order to bring it home to eat. All was going well so far. We were pretty impressed with the meal to be honest; It was tasty, seemed of good quality, presented well and we thought it seemed reasonably priced at just over $40AUD. We had a chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, saffron rice, some pakoras, a couple of samosa's and some naan bread to share and as I said it all looked and tasted pretty legit. Plus, I have a little takeaway pack to take to work for lunch tomorrow as well. So, I'm smiling now but...Time will tell if the food was, indeed, legit!
I hope y'all's Monday went well and if it was shit then may it end in a better manner than how it started! It's Tuesday tomorrow, a bit of a non-day if you ask me...It's not like Monday on which we can still re-live the past weekend. It's not Wednesday where we've reached the summit and can see the finish line up ahead. It's not Thursday where we can start talking about the weekend and it's not Friday when we can all shut off at work and start the weekend early. It's sort of...Well, a non-day. Still, it's a day we have to endure to get to the other more salubrious ones, Saturday and Sunday, and so we'll soldier on right? That is, if we don't get sick from Indian takeaway on Monday night! So far I'm still smiling but...

My Monday just started and you are already on to Tuesday.. sheesh man, let the rest of us catch up!

Us Aussies are always ahead of the game...
The be honest we're a bit slow on the uptake and so we have to start our week early. The head start means we finish roughly at the same time as others.
