Caution: chicks fall out of their nests

I was walking in the park and suddenly, with a loud cry, the thrush nestling landed next to me. I only then realized that it was a chick. In my eyes, it increased in size during the fall. And there was such a heart-rending cry that I, too, involuntarily cried out. I do not know who was more afraid of me or the chick, but that both are for sure. It happened in some seconds, but I was scared. I did not immediately understand what happened and who it is. Later it dawned on me why the nestling was so big when it fell. He spread the wings. And the little birds have a big head and eyes, which I later read.

With me for the first time is. It was early morning, in the park only the wipers in the distance swept the sidewalks, there were no passersby. I was very scared, because the chick was only a few centimeters from my legs. Many trees grow in that place and foot trails are laid between them. Nestling landed just a few centimeters away from the trail. If two or more people walk alongside, then it is possible to accidentally step on, because the grass grows quickly, with each passing day it is higher and you can not see the chick. I am afraid of such thoughts.

Parents were close at the time of the first "flight" of their child. One of them in the photo is screaming, experiencing, apparently, he is swearing at me, he is afraid that I will take his child. Another thrush was higher on the branch, also shouting. Other thrushes on a nearby tree were also worried. So they had full support there. Usually the thrushes fly away, one has only to get closer to the trees where they sit. And here they did not fly away, but rushed about. But I know that you can not touch the chicks, they harm more than help.

Anxious parent jumps from branch to branch.

And suddenly the bird cry is already below - I have already stepped over another thrush birds. But I did not go far from the first found, only three minutes passed. I had no idea that the chicks can scream so loud that.

I shot the chick close-up. Such a sweetheart.

I shuddered, sitting right next to the footpath. Well, how is it, it's dangerous. In a few hours there will be people in the park. Although it is in this place that they walk much less frequently than on the sidewalks, but there are still trails, after all.

I shot a short video of how a thrush-parent rushes about, worries about its pet. It is good that the parents were near, I am calm that the chick is not lost.

We must be careful in places where many birds live.

I read on the Internet that the chicks do not fall out of their nests by accident. After a certain number of days after birth, the bird of some chicks fall from their nests and live in the grass, and their parents are taught to fly there.
