My Memory of Us is an extraordinary story about the Nazi occupation of Poland, which catches the heart and pulls into the playfulness of gameplay, despite the obvious barriers of the genre. The title could quietly be an adventure or interactive book. Instead, this is a logical 2D platform.
The whole story of what a vow is made during the Second World War tells a little girl who is going to borrow a book, an old librarian. It starts by saying that the girl says she is very similar to someone. The whole game's memories are adapted to the ears of a small child and at the same time from the point of view of children's imagination. It is very imaginative and amazing in all aspects. For example, the Nazis are the evil robots, and Hitler is no other than the robot king.
Everyone who knows a little bit of history will appear in the game many well-known events and activities that actually took place. Events are served with fantastic elements, just as fairy tale and interesting as adventures for young children. At the same time, the story will be more enjoyable to disheveled players than today's youth. Interesting places to visit, you'll even evacuate trains that are obviously going to a work camp, but there are flying wagons like science-fiction film.
My Memory of Us is a 2D platform game and a logical game. You will encounter the obstacles you have to deal with. This requires cooperation between the boy and the girl. Each of them has certain advantages. The girl can throw balls and activate the remote buttons, the boy has a mirror that can blind some living obstacles. The boy can walk inconspicuously and hide in the shade, but the girl can run out. They often hold hands or work together. Some passages are said to be hiding in the dark when it will be necessary to recharge the light by repeatedly pressing the same key.
The riddles are not very complicated, but some can handle, in particular, the absence of logic in their fulfillment. It depends rather on random identification of what it belongs to. Nowhere do you find the way to do and what to do, there is also a missing helper in case of failure. However, most of the logical tasks are obvious at first sight and can not last for a long time in one room. It uses the pair of characters, one activates the levers and the other moves the level and tries, for example, to get the key to the next process. Sometimes you will have to dress up as a Nazi leader or a robot entering your rocket. There is also a fight there, but especially the final destruction of the opponent and the escape before him is an unnecessarily demanding activity that does not coincide with the rest of the game. They will also not frequent and slow walking back and forth and finding out what to do. Speed up the pace would help. But most of all, the aforementioned helper is missing. Overall, however, the game can be judged positively, although the exceptionality is mainly originality.
At first sight, a lot of things are obvious. Game saves colors. Only black, white and red are present. Just red is important. It features key things like buttons, objects to pick up, find, and so on. But on the other hand, it is also a substitute for the long star that the Nazis denominated the Jews. The girl is labeled with her and in one passage the boy decides to go to save her friend and also volunteers herself. With the colors you will experience a lot of humorous situations where you can, for example, paint a paintball with a robot, and then another black-and-white robot will start banging it, so you can go unobtrusively.
Humor is here at every step. Despite the dark atmosphere everywhere, you can not get a smile. Robots are very humorous creatures and the intention to amaze them was excellent. The evil Nazis are not terrible, but rather desperate. Despite the graphic graphics and in many cases the parody, however, you will feel like in those critical years of war. At each step there are links to how it used to live - old radio, phone, dress style and overall atmosphere.
In the course of almost three hours a lot of experience awaits you. It's enough for the style, it would also hurt the game. Authors from Warsaw know exactly when to quit talking and have a very good story to finish. Between the levels are talked about the events that happened and the dubbing is very well mastered. They just do not talk in the character game, but they only give some sounds that are delightful.
Audiovisual is overall very good and it is not something to say, so you can only find errors in gameplay. Those are not very few, but if you make concessions, you will appreciate the game you will be remembered for a long time. The most important thing is that even with such optics you can watch the horrible events. It does not act unreliable, and it is an amazing experience.
