Heading to the Hinterland

A long long traffic ahead!

I wanted to share a long but sweet story, but nevermind . My body has been so tired from travelling especially my joints. I really thought it was just a two to three hour bus ride from Agora Terminal to Malaybalay City, but then it was almost six hours. Head aches a bit

I travelled to Bukidnon because for the very first time, I wanted to witness the street dancing of different IPs from Bukidnon during the Kaamulan festival. I was able to attend before but we were only able to witness the booths and not the major events.

Prior to that though I only had minutes to prepare my essentials because I forgot that I would be travelling to Malaybalay City. I just took whatever clothes and undergarments my hands could take from my closet. I did not mind bringing tooth brush, clothes for sleeping, and other toiletries. I supposed my Auntie Fe stocked some things for me since I had been travelling to Bukidnon (particularly Malaybalay City) a lot.

The traffic around Cagayan de Oro was pretty bad because of the simultaneous graduation ceremonies on some schools. A lot of roads had been clothes which pushed some commuters to walk instead of waiting the heavy traffice to reduce.

Since I was not able have my brunch, I took time to roam around Divisoria (our city center) to find a food stall/resto/eatery that sells affordable lunch meal. I decided to eat near Xavier University because they sell cheap chicken wings meal, but I was so disappointed with the texture and taste of their chicken. I missed and wanted to eat the unli wings again sold at one of the restaurants in Dumaguete which is found near City Mall.

I wanted to travel already since it is past one in the afternoon but my aunt texted me that she was still in Kisolon so I decided to visit our (Eli, Zene, and I) favorite internet shop. I might as well play some games such as Lol (League of Legends) but then unfortunately I could not access my accounts both on Garena and Steam. Instead of ranting about it, I made new accounts instead. I might as well play games when I get home.

After few minutes, my aunt called. She was pissed off that I was still not around. I told her I am already heading to the terminal. The traffC was just so bad.

I was asleep for almost the entire journey but I only woke up on bus stops for passengers to pee or be relieved. I tried to be like this as much as possible, drinking small amount of water and eating less I just wanted to say that @lola.imma was correct. The green picturesque view og Bukidnon is great. From my years of travelling along this province since my childhood, I could really say there is nothing not to love. the thing is that I easily fall asleep whenever I am on a trip, even on a ten minute commute heading downtown that is why would always be difficult for me to travel alone.

Usually, whenever I travel for long hours, I opt to wear comfortable clothes. I do not fancy for an instagramable look. Vanity is okay but I do not think I could trade comfort over that it.

Instead of trying to look cool, lovely, alluring, or whatever that is, I prefered to be laidback-- eyeglasses on, messy hair (not on bun), oversized green t-shirt that I bought from Brazilian missionaries I met last time in Kuala Lumpur, lame jogging pants, and a slipper one size bigger than my foot.

I opted for this attire since I want to curl on the bus seat. I cannot imagine sitting pretty and then the moment I wake up, I would ask for the bus driver to stop because my stomach is not feeling well. As they say, prevention is better than cure.

Or so I thought.

I spent some time watching a movie that was screen on the bus' television. It was The Mummy starrring Tom Cruise. It kind of reminded me of @zest who is a legit archaeologist. Well, I find Zest coller than Tom Cruise. It was a bit fun for such genre but then I would always refer Indiana Jones series over anything else.

The next movie I suppose was of Matt Damon or some guy who resembles him. It was based in Chinese Dynasty period but with dinosaur-like creatures who devour on people. It was pretty boring for me so I just decided to sleep. The sun was still not setting as I could remember.

When I woke up, it was already evening. Surprise, Gail! It was past eight in the evening and we were all stuck in a long line of cars, haulers, tracks, and motorcycles. It has been said that the traffic was bad because there has been a diversion of roads because of the preparation for the floats that would be displayed tomorrow in public during the Street Dancing Event of the Kaamulan Festival.

The traffic was bad because there has been an inspection on the road. Well, I actually get it why there should be one. The safety of the people should be prioritized by the local government unit of Bukidnon particularly the province of Bukidnon.

When will this traffic be over? I was a bit grumpy. My stomach has not been feeling well then because of the change of temperature. Cagayan de Oro City is a bit humid while Malaybalay City is cold. I was not feeling well, but the moment I saw one of the police officers (who is just so good-looking), I could not help but feel a bit relieved. I suppose their SAF.

When we arrived at the bus stop, my stomach grumbled. I was looking for a bathroom but it was already late. Establishments were already close. Tired, I decided to have mango, oatmeal cookies, and milk for dinner which caused me to have another round in the bathroom.

nyway, it is past ten in the evening and I just came from the bathroom. Of course I washed my hands carefully. It was obvious that I was having a stomach ache that is why Auntie Fe made me a cup of tea. Such a sweet gesture of her.

One thing I realized is tht I should not eat mango, oatmeal cookies, and milk for dinner. Sigh.
