Today I come to show you a new digital illustration that I made alluding to Japanese animation or anime called "evangelion", no, this is not about religious evangelical reasons, it is an anime of the genre "mecha" and drama, where they tell the story of a boy called shinji of 14 years old and the relationship with his father who owns a coorporation where they are piloting a kind of giant "robots" to fight aliens who are called "angels" and constantly want to kill the human race and the entire planet .

This serie is also considered an animation difficult to understand due to the drastic changes in the plot, the development of the characters, the psychology that the creator implemented throughout the production, the uncoordinated ending that he had, among other aspects that made Think of many spectators. . For my part definitely, although I understood the argument and development is not my favorite animation, but I admit that the design of the characters is something that I personally liked a lot, it's more than I liked the most of the whole series; the design of the robots that in the series they call "evas" is something that simply fascinated me, not to mention the fluidity with which all the animation was worked. A great production team, which he became involved in the development of evangelion!

For the creation I focused on the Eva 01, which can be seen in the gif and the image that is above and also is the most representative robot of this series, since the pilot of this is Shinji, the boy who heads the story from this anime. For the creation of the illustration I made, use the program focused on design and illustration: illustrator in its CS6 edition, with the help of the pen tool to make the contours of this robot and here below I will put some photos of the process so that you can see them the execution of the illustration:

I really like to create and give my own style to things without losing its essence, I like the psychedelic art as much as the minimalist, so here I simply work the helmet of Eva 01 in a somewhat minimalist way, simply with lines on a background Unicolor, without further details. In addition, I looked in detail at the helmet and the contours of this to make something really detailed and not miss the minimalist intentionality that I want to give this illustration:
