Ulog #2 (22 June 2018)- Blessed Friday

This morning I went to church (St. Therese Church, Abudhabi), to attend the 9:00 o'clock mass. Different masses and timings are available, Friday and Sunday are the busiest day of the week. I'm always attending mass every Friday,  it's been my spiritual respite away from home. The service today was conducted in English. 

 

After the mass I lit candles at the Grotto of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mother and briefly offered prayers to my loved ones.

 

Despite the high humidity, people from different nationalities gathered outside to meet and greet friends and relatives. Gathering is part of what it means to be a Christian and strengthen our faith. 

 

I will never miss an opportunity to take a selfie. To be honest I love taking selfies. 

 

I am so blessed to be able to attend Holy Mass today. Pope Francis once said: "Many works became dark because of lack of light and lack of prayer. Prayer is what maintains light, what gives life to the Christian light, what  illuminates". That's all for now. Thank you for reading and have a Blessed Friday to all. XOXO.
