The Science Of Happiness

Did you figure it out already what do you really want in life? Wealth, fame, success, travel , awesome job , new friends? Behind each and all stands happiness . The "Instagram-Perfect" life that everyone wants to make each other believe they are living can easily fade away in time. The real happiness can be find within ourselves , in our daily life , even when things are not so perfect.
Thanks to Neuroscientists , we can have today a better understanding about our brains, feelings and thoughts . They also discovered small behaviors that everyone can practice daily and have a happier life:

  1. Talk about your feelings - sad, worried, desperate , stressed, meet someone you trust and weight it off of your chest. The scientist explanation : this very simple act will release serotonin in your brain , a neurotransmitter that will help you feel happier and positive, and you'll also feel like the situation it's almost under control .
  1. Solve problems one at a time - if you lie down awake the whole night , stressing yourself about what to do next, even the smallest problem will seem unsolvable to you . Advisable is to list them down, and start to solve one by one. Start with the smallest one . Scientists say : each time you make a successful decision, your brain rewards itself with neurotransmitters that calms the limbic system and leaves you with a positive outlook and "I can do it" attitude.

  2. Be thankful - looks like every time you say "Thank you" , makes you focus on the positive aspects of life. Also positive , happy memories release serotonin in your brain, making you feel optimist and see joy in everything.

  3. Learn something new each day - every time you learn something, your brain adapts to changing environment ,and while the brain changes and develops, it also rewards itself with a different happy neurotransmitter, a chemical dopamine .

  4. Give and receive hugs - physical touch is essential to humans , because we are tactile species. The brain perceive the lack of touch and embrace the same way it perceives the physical pain!
