MALE AFFECTIVENESS:
The majority of men with psychological problems have bad memories of their male parents, but not because of the damage received but because of denied affection.

Research on attachment by psychologists John Bowlby, Joanne Davila, and Rebecca Cobb show that the presence of a cold and affectionately distant father is far more harmful and dangerous than an absent father. Many caring and affectionate parents with their male children change abruptly as they begin to grow.

The thinking is obviously discriminatory and absurd: while female daughters can be pampered with peace of mind throughout their lives, with the male child we have to have some special care: "Do not let us become effeminate."

In this way, from one day to another, without prior notice of any kind, the rules change. The paternal physical contact gives way to a new deal, more difficult and distant. If the child is sensitive, this sudden cut is internalized as rejection and, over time, if it is not compensated in any way, it can be transformed into resentment or compulsive dependence.

The irrational belief that tenderness, whether maternal or paternal, produces homosexual men, is still alive in most men. If the matter were so simple, the enemies of homosexuality would have swept away with him. Homophobia is a disease.

SOBRE LA AFECTIVIDAD MASCULINA

La gran mayoría de los varones con problemas psicológicos tienen malos recuerdos de sus padres hombres, pero no por el daño recibido sino por el afecto negado.

Las investigaciones sobre 'attachment' realizadas por los psicólogos John Bowlby, Joanne Davila y Rebecca Cobb muestran que la presencia de un padre frío y afectivamente distante es mucho más nociva y peligrosa que un padre ausente. Muchos padres acariciadores y cariñosos con sus hijos varones, cambian bruscamente cuando éstos comienzan a crecer.

El pensamiento es evidentemente discriminatorio y absurdo: mientras que a las hijas mujeres se las puede mimar con tranquilidad durante toda la vida, con el hijo varón hay que tener ciertos cuidados especiales: "No vaya a ser que se nos vuelva afeminado".

De esta manera, de un día para otro, sin previo aviso de ningún tipo, las reglas cambian. El contacto físico paternal cede su lugar a un nuevo trato, más duro y distante. Si el niño es sensible, este corte repentino se internaliza como rechazo y, con el tiempo, si no se compensa de alguna forma, puede transformarse en resentimiento o dependencia compulsiva.

La creencia irracional de que la ternura, ya sea materna o paterna, produce varones homosexuales, aún está viva en la mayoría de los hombres. Si el asunto fuera tan sencillo, los enemigos del homosexualismo ya hubieran barrido con él. La homofobia es una enfermedad.
