At first it was called XCoin and later it was called Darkcoin, to finally consolidate as DASH, this crypto is based on an open source software project.

It is thought to be identical to bitcoin unlike DASH is much faster and lighter, just like bitcoin it is not run by any government or financial institution.

Although DASH was designed based on Bitcoin, what differentiates both currencies is that Dash has a two-tier network.

The firt level New blocks are created every 2.6 minutes and their security depends on the miners just like bitcoin, whereas it takes 10 minutes for a blockchain miner to create a block for BTC.

of 100% of the mining, 45% are profits, the miners keep another 45%, and the remaining 10% goes to a fund account called treasury that is managed by the masternodes for development initiatives, infrastructure and advertising by voting.

The second level is made up of the masternodes, the masternodes offer InstantSend and PrivateSend services, this helps prevent sybil attacks, the masternodes need a certain amount of Dash to confirm the status on the network, to be exact 1000 Dash.

there are currently many wallets:

1. Paper Purses.
   paper wallets are mostly printed on sheets, come in PDF format, and have QR codes to be scanned.

2. Software wallets.
   software wallets are the installable wallets that we mostly use, they are installed on pc, mac, ios, Android, laptops.

3. Hardware Wallets.
   These wallets are installed in mobile units, such as hard drives, or USB sticks.

4. Online Wallets.
   These wallets are stored in the cloud or provided for use on web pages, these wallets are not secure.

For Dash we have several options, among the most common we have:

b) DASH CORE
c) JAXX
d) EXODUS
e) EDGE WALLET.

For my task I will use DASH CORE, it is native to dash and it is a very secure wallet.

I am going to configure my wallet from my phone.

• We enter the app store and type DASH WALLET.

• THEN CLICK ON DOWNLOAD.
  We hope you download.

• We go to the main screen of the mobile and open the app.

• we click continue.

• now click on create wallet.

• we configure our PIN.

• We put our PIN again.

• now we will configure our BACKUP of the wallet.

• I will request the PIN again

• synchronize our mobile

• and voila, we can transfer our cryptos

In this class we learned about one of the most important privacy coins, we read a brief summary about the DASH coin, how it works, knowing that it is an open source software project, which tries to improve the quality, the speed and security of transactions, implementing masternodes that help protect the system from sybil attacks, using machines with impressive computing power.

This type of coins uses specific wallets, there are thousands of wallets, these wallets come in various types such as, online wallets, software wallets, hardware wallets and wallets papers, we use a native wallet of DASH from software type, to explain how to configure it, there are many advantages that this cryptocurrency offers to its users.

Dash offers InstantSend and PrivateSend services, the InstantSend service improves the transfer speed almost immediately, and the PrivateSend service offers an option to transfer in incognito mode, this mode protects all the information of the parties, but the commission costs are higher.
