Playing Guitar

in #music4 years ago

Greetings,

Today I decided to play guitar in the sun for a couple of hours.

I recorded a little bit to share. I always practice this song when I play because it's complex and works out my forearms quite well.

It's called: Baby I'm Gonna Leave You, by Led Zeppelin. I didn't sing the lyrics, because I have no baby to leave because I just didn't feel like signing.

Hello Jake .. nice to see ur post again .. How are you my friend .. You play the guitar very well ... it looks like the sun shines brightly in your area. but I don't like being in the sun because it will make my skin more brown. the lyric song you wrote is very good ... Don't u have a baby, Jake? Have a nive day, Jake.

Hello my friend @elianaelisma. Thank you for the compliment.
I am well, how are you?
The sun makes my skin darken as well. I don't mind a little.
No I don't have a baby. Maybe one day.
Have a nice day as well my friend.

Beautiful.... I remember listening to this back in the 80s

Thank you my friend, happy to trigger the nostalgia :)

Enjoyed!!
Not familiar with the tune, so it was interesting to hear it for the first time through you.
It also meant I didn't know where it would end, and the last chord/note surprised me.
Thank you :D

Hi @drutter,
Thank you for listening, I'm happy you enjoyed!

Sometimes I improvise a little, and endings to songs are sometimes vastly different. It's just the way I cover music, and so I embrace it, even though it might perturb some.

Here is a good copy of the original track, I think you will enjoy it, it's a masterpiece of a song (imo). https://youtu.be/UyOg0mt2R2k

Thanks for the link, I appreciate being let in on the secret of good music! I never had a lot of friends who were into music, I had to find my own way (which I did). But I find I missed entire chunks of music and culture for various reasons. Anything "rock" or "metal" or "heavy" or even alternative was taboo when I was growing up. I got into some newer and poppy types of rock/grunge later on, but have somehow heard almost no Zeppelin. Appreciated : D

Really beautiful!!!!

A few good things have come of being imprisoned in our homes, for those of us who are relatively privileged - time to pursue our hobbies and arts. Time to reassess what matters, time to look at and appreciate what we do have. Too bad this only applies to those of us who have stuff. I can't bear to think about the less fortunate, who are stuck in tiny apartments in NYC by themselves, or worse, with someone(s) who is abusive. Stuck in apartments without money for food, which is rising quickly in price. Only their booze left for friend and comfort.

Back to you, that was an extraordinary piece! And so well played. I loved it.

I think about these things everyday, as well as where I've been and where I am today.
I don't have a lot, but there are many with much less, and experiencing all kinds of hardships.

I'm grateful to have small things and sustenance , and the value of sitting in the sun and experiencing the beauty of nature and music, well.. you can't place a value on that can you? :)

I wish I could do this with other people sometimes.

Really appreciate the kind words, it means a lot to me.

Have a great weekend @owasco.

I fear for musicians, a community that has sustained me through very tough times. All those tiny music clubs, where the energy is heightened, politics recede, love all around. Gone for good I fear.

You are witty
Like it, keep wanting more

Thank you!
