Blockchain gaming slowly coming, looking for innovations

Good morning traders, blockchainers! Lets forget the storm brewing in the major indices markets and let's leave the suppressed prices of cryptos behind for a while.

Looking at the more fun side of the blockchain, one might wonder if games are also properly utilizing various blockchains. A quick look around and we can assert that even game development is taking advantage of the blockchain, yet it is painfully obvious it's still in it's infancy with massive room for further evolving.

Anything that has pixels, weird tiles or zigzags gets immediately dismissed by me this time, so let's see what the better looking games are about.

Augmentors is an upcoming augmented reality blockchain based game, with a complex backstory and incredibly cool characters. The ICO for the game development ended in early 2017, the dev cycle of the game has been long and has some ways to go yet, but the early alphas for token hodlers are coming.

So, once you've headed to the website and checked out so of the story, what should one expect from the game?

With Pokemon Go as a pioneer, there was to be expected many augmented reality games to make their way into the world, but add blockchain in the mix, spruce it up with tokens and you've got a whole new bunch of audience - cryptoenthusiasts hoarding tokens to get their hands on better monsters that can be summoned to this world, in order to battle and grow.

If you're looking to gain an advantage over your fellow wardens of monsters, you can purchase extra items and updates for your crew. This comes with a money-making opportunity - all monsters and items can be traded on the Counterparty platfrom (Counterparty is like a decentralized Exchange on the Bitcoin blockchain - think like Bitshares), just like Cryptokitties can be sold on the Ethereum network.

The early alpha for token holders is coming at the end of March already, soon being followed by public alpha and the game should be released in full sometime later this year.
