Thoughts on being wrongly "blacklisted" by Hive
I’m about to write a ”I’m excited about the Hive launch” and post it a few hours before the actual launch but I have to scratch it upon learning about the “Hive blacklist” (Hive airdrop exclusion list).
In this list are Steemit Inc’s accounts and the ones that the Hive thinks is in favor of centralization or the hostile take-over of the Steem network.
Unfortunately, my account is in that list which for me is a mistake.
According to Hive, the reason that I’m in that list is the fact that I follow a proxy that for them is a supporter of “centralization” & the “hostile take-ove” of steem.
Just to clear my stand, I do not support “centralization” nor the “hostile take-over”
Another unfortunate thing for me is the way for me to remove my name in the Hive blacklist ~ ”The Forgiveness Vote”
To be honest, I’m not a fan of the name as it makes me feel like an ex-con trying to find my way into the Hive.
For me to acquire the “Forgiveness Vote”, I have to make a proposal in the HPS (Hive Proposal System) and appeal for the vote of the Hive stakeholders.
And that’s how the Hive “devs” think on how things should work… which I have to disagree with.
It looks like the devs are too busy putting-up those codes regardless of the outcome and nobody even bothers to review and reach-out to the ones who are clearly innocent.
So for the launch of Hive, while some of you are saying “fresh start”, for me it will be ”start all over again”.

I was shocked when I saw your name on the list... Of course, this is wrong. :( Let me know if you need any help.
Sounds like HIVE is not as decentralized as we wanted it to be.
Though not shocking, but it makes Hive more like steem, both are trying to suppress the opposition, the question is which side has more follower.
As long as the developers of the blockchain have the ability and access to do the airdrop for who ever they want, it can't be a decentralized platform. Though I don't know if a truly decentralized platform is a good thing or not, because we have our values and we want people to be punished for their wrong doings.
Their actions is making me think whether Hive is truly decentralized or simply a re-brand of the same steem.
Too bad for me, I was "marked" as if I'm "traitor" or "criminal" for their standards, which is wrong.
I read few posts and checked steempeak and steemit, and my conclusion is that there won't be a big change regarding the system, just a change in the people who rule it. If you check steemit.com few outlaws have created Hive and we should ignore them, and if you check steempeak, com Hive is the next big thing. (yeah I exaggerated it a liitle)
It's sad that the people were not mentioned in that blacklist post and it was posted hours before the launch of the blockchain, like they didn't want to be bothered by users over this.
It's a confusing time in either chains. Each side have their own pros and cons.
Each have their own way of "censorship", I think none of them are truly "decentralized".
Again, only time will tell.
