There is hope for steem!

Many months ago, I have envisioned steem to be at the top of its game, against the other cryptos there are. At that time, Steem ranked as the 5th among other cryptos in terms of market cap. And during that time, we only have very few development of dApps and there is very little avenue when it comes to on-boarding of new users.

What we have today is unimaginable during that time. In addition, we were having so much issues to Steemit's interface and the ecosystem in general. There are many users who were questioning about the sustainability of the reward pool. Some are questioning about the distribution of rewards which is said to be imbalance and ineffective. Some are questioning the presence of bid bots and mislaigned distribution of rewards. While some are deeply concerned about the quality of contents that are being displayed on the trending page of Steemit.

To be honest, I didn't thought about the technicalities of Steemit which is the only available frontend at that time since it's too difficult for me to comprehend. My focus went to the social aspect of the application.

I didn't really complain about it the issues mentioned above but, I was thankful to the ones that did because it was the driving force of some developers in creating a much better frontends like Steempeak, Partiko, Busy, and many more.

The distribution of rewards was made better by communities and dApps. Most of the new dApps bear the mindset that the sustainability of the project can't rely from Steemit Inc's SP delegation.

This is the beauty of a decentralised platform, everyone have something to offer. We as the users can route the Steem ship towards its success without relying to a central authority or governance. And it is becoming evident with the latest development that is happening for the steem blockchain.
