The Lookup project issue#03 | "Ceilings & Fins"

Hi Friends!

Today, for my 3rd issue of my #lookupproject, I will be doing a spotlight feature on one of the iconic buildings here in Singapore, it's the National Library.

This spaceship-look-alike building have the most collection of books & research materials compared to the other libraries in this country. The best part is that it is open to public. I've been constantly visiting this place to research about my upcoming posts here in Steemit :-)

Again, the theme of this photo series is #lookup, so get ready to brace your neck ;-)

Fact 01:

Apart from all the books, the building is architecturally interesting, with a cool glass elevator. Definitely go up to a floor where they're having a special exhibit - in November 2017 it was on historical Malay texts and was fascinating, very well done. No charge, near the museums, totally worth a stop.

Fact 02:

The staff are very helpful and courteous and the amenities are excellent. Free lockers for your stuff is a nice feature. The toilets are clean, the elevators work well, and the layout for books, magazines, and newspapers are well spaced.

Fact 03:

The place is very cozy from the entrance. Located near an MRT station and shopping arcade, the National Library is a haven for readers or people who need some personal time with books.

Fact 04:

The library has a massive collection of books, people can read wherever they want, be it on the floor or on the table. One can just hang out there without reading books and enjoy the time with their friends.

Ok, that sums up my 3rd issue of my #lookupproject, on this photo series I'm featuring the mundane and turn it epic!

Ahh...the library. I could spend all day at a library; the place where you can sit in a comfy chair next to a big window with the rain softly falling against the pane, hold a hot cup of coffee in one hand, and a book in the other that will take you anywhere in the world, or even to another time long ago... Lovely post!

Yes precisely! Whenever i cant go out to wander at the city because rain, i always try drop-by here and do some research. Great way to wait for the rain to stop. Sometimes if its too hot outside, then ill just go in and cool down and take rest. The inside is really comfy, im not allowed to take photo thats why cant show here. But if have a chance to visit Singapore. You should drop by here😊

Awesome and artistic photography, Nice explanation. Thanks for sharing @funtraveller
