Steem ??
Hello, I am not very familiar with crypto currency really. I dabbled in it and bout a few hundred dollars of different coins a couple years ago but was scammed, robbed and cheated everywhere I turned.
I know Steemit has a crypto coin (steem) I believe and my question is, Can steem be converted to USD?
I would love to hear what others do with their STEEM.
Please share your ideas and experiences, good or bad.

Sorry to hear about your first experience with crypto, but I can assure you there are a lot of legitimate projects that exist, STEEM included.
You can convert STEEM to other cryptocurrencies( or fiat) on various exchanges, or use it to "power up" and increase your influence on the platform (more power to upvote or downvote posts).
If you believe in the future of the project then you should power up and participate regularly.

Thank you for the reply. I guess I never understood how crypto can be beneficial if it cant be turned to usd. I wonder if i can buy advertising on steemit with steem?
