Is Verge being blackmailed by John Mcafee?
What many suspected after seeing some screenshots of John Mcafee begging for money with other crypto’s that he ‘promoted’ now seems to be the case with Verge as well. Only this time he wasn’t begging but blackmailing Verge!
A XVG whale holding a large stock of XVG had been at John house where he had a great time (according his twitter account) but all went sour when after the visit, John started to demand to get paid for the ‘promotion’ of Verge. He demanded $100.000 in ETH and if they didn’t pay him, he made sure that Verge would be run into the ground.
Now that sounds like blackmail to me!
So the great tech guy/entrepreneur/billionaire John Mcafee is begging for money and can’t prevent his phone from being hacked?
However, as worrying this all may sounds, what worries me the most, is that XVGWhale and the developer of Verge apparently where willing to pay Mcafee instead of pressing charges.
Even worse XVGWhale has deleted his tweet with proof of Mcafee demanding payments.
What’s going on????
Now this whole drama is bad, especially for Verge as a crypto currency.
It doesn’t matter now if the Wraith release will be succesful or not, due to all this drama and the strange behavior of the Verge team it self, verge is tainted!
To me it comes across very amateuristic to say the least even suspicious.
- Why didn’t Verge come out with a statement when all this FUD begun?
- What is the relation between XVGWhale and Mcafee?
- Was there a plan to pump and dump but did it go sour after Mcafee started to demand money?
- Why was the tweet with accusations deleted and why is XVGWhale’s visit to the Mcafee residence still pinned on his twitter account without any statement?
I am still holding Verge currently, Wraith has been released, which drove up the price slightly ( 5 cents) but all this drama and profesionalisme has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Anyways I transferred half of my Verge stock to Ripple yesterday and I will HODL the rest to give it another change.
