Social Obligations for Success

The reality of the world regardless of where we are. We need to socialise to get support from people around us regardless of our work place or on this current social platform.

Without good relationship through regular socialisation, we would find it hard to survive or gain success in many areas of our work.

The need to socialise to gain success is a fact and reality that can lead many to the road of success.

Need for Casual Talk

We often neglect the need for casual talk that is out of the official duties.

We need to establish informal relationship with our clients to gain genuine support as friend.

Through casual talk, many clients become close to us and they would prefer to give us the business rather than those they do not know.

Casual talk allows us to know each client better and we can handle each of them more prudently without unintentional offensive words.

When I first join the platform, I did not start to be active on discord immediately. I know about it but I was reluctant to join.

After joining discord, I actually get to know more people personally leading to more mutual support.

For serious people, we may find casual talk meaningless but the teasing and joking with others are ways to build great genuine friends.

Need to Support

I believe many of us have faced situation where we are approached by someone we know with a donation card for a charity drive.

Out of friendship, we would take out our wallet and donate a few bucks.

The closer we are, the more we may donate.

On the platform, we often upvote those we know well with high upvote value because of the relationship we have established.

Those that we support also often upvote us with high value.

In the business world, when we choose to scratch the backs of others, others would scratch our backs too.

We support to get support and it is as simple as that.

No one can survive alone so we need to support to get support in the business world and on the platform.

Need to listen

We need to listen to know what others are trying to share. When we lend our ears to others, we often get closer naturally.

Listening to others takes time and we often run out of patience but this social obligation is necessary and important.

We may lose our time but we gain a great supportive relationship.

Most of the time, people just need to vent out their frustrations but they do not need our advice.

Providing a good listening ear would allow the other party to feel good after a good outlet of complaints.

In Conclusion

Social obligations may even include having a beer and going out for a game of golf.

The more we mix around, the more networks we can establish.

The networks that we link up would ensure more business opportunities and support in times of need.

Success often comes easily for those with good social networks.
