Inspiration from setting Exam Paper
As a teacher, I cannot escape the need to set an exam paper.
This is the last week of my school holiday and I would have to face my students again next week.
It is a struggle to set a fair paper and we need to think out of the box to ensure the questions are creative.
The questions would need to be original even though many teachers do try to imitate the national exam so that students are exposed to the level of difficulty.
Most students dislike taking exam and most teachers also dislike setting the exam papers.
A teacher may take many days to set one exam paper but students would only spend a couple of hours to complete it.
Assessment is meant to evaluate how much a child has learnt to provide information on where the student should place for the best possible learning outcome.
Assessment can never measure the intelligence of individuals.
We are already aware that there are many successful people who did not do well when they were in school.
Many of them are brilliant businessmen and they are indeed intelligent in their own ways.
It is definitely not a joyful experience and I always had to force myself to set the paper to meet the required deadline.
There are always the other side of the story that people would not know about teachers.
We do not just teach and mark but we have many other administration duties to cope with.
Every job has its own difficulty and we may not always be able to see the other side unless someone shares with us.
The changes on the platform would have its reasons but we may not know unless someone shares with us.
I believe hardfork is never a fun thing for all including the developers as there may be many problems to solve during and after a hardfork.
We do not know how hard it is so the best is to understand more before we make any nasty comment.
