Freedom Of Speech

Freedom of speech is nothing new and many countries do encourage this.

It becomes a problem when the freedom of speech is being misused to go against the policies of the governments.

Many individuals get themselves into serious troubles and some even escape from their countries to avoid imprisonment.

Racism

One of the most important issues that most countries would want to accomplish is to unite the citizens.

When an individual chooses to speak bad about other races or religion, it becomes a serious issue that can lead to one losing his job or even imprisonment for some countries.

For most religions, we are taught to accept everyone and we should not make critical comments because we do not like certain things.

The freedom of speech becomes personal attacks at different races so I personally do feel that the governments that do not support such personal attacks are doing the right thing.

I guess everyone has the right to his personal opinion but it is really not polite and respectful to others regardless of race since we are all living things on the same planet earth.

Without Facts

When one chooses to use the freedom of speech to attack the government policies without getting the facts correctly, it becomes a problem that misleads others to the wrong perception.

There can be many ignorant people who do not investigate further to believe many fake accusations because these accusations sound right.

The use of freedom of speech for lies and fake news is really not right.

I personally do not agree to it as well.

I do agree that one who is able to get the facts right and give constructive suggestions for improvement to the social conditions of a country should be taken seriously.

Using the freedom of speech to highlight blindspots that many governments have missed out can really get these governments to reflect and make the right adjustment to the policies.

In Conclusion

I am not against freedom of speech and I am also not saying that governments are always right.

Many different governments may have misused their power in different parts of the world leading to lots of wars and sufferings.

Freedom of speech may be the only way for some people to get things right in certain countries but they may face lots of resistance.

The use of freedom of speech is really depends the speaker is doing it with the right intention for the betterment of the country.
