Adults Attempt PSLE Math Paper
PSLE is the national exam that 12-year-old students would take before leaving their primary school in Singapore.
It would determine which secondary school they can attend based on the results of 4 subjects - English, Math, Science and Mother Tongue.
In the videoclip below. some adults tried the PSLE Math paper and they really had a hard time solving the questions.
P6 students would be expected to apply their Mathematical concepts into different types of situations.
It can be rather demanding when logic and concepts must come together.
Their visualisation skills had an important part to play especially for geometry.
We can see how much the adults struggled in the above videoclip with questions that were meant for 12-year-old kids in Singapore.
When learning is simply to prepare PSLE, it may take away the joy of learning.
When we focus on how much our children can love learning, they become lifelong learners.
