DON'T USE STEEMIT'S API SERVERS
They seem to be broken right now or forked or something ... I'm not sure. But, I'm pulling the blockchain data from @anyx's api server and all is well.
Whatever happened with Steemit's servers is causing front-end websites like Steemit/Busy to show comments from oldest to newest and probably a lot of other problems that I'm not aware of.
I have no idea what happened with Steemit's severs. Would anyone like to enlighten me?

I wouldn't be surprised if Hivemind is indeed the cause, but that bug may be unrelated. Thanks for the link.
Yeah, turns out it was a sorting issue at Hivemind:

I am a firm users of the @esteemapp but since a few days I also had to change the server.
When it was connected to the api.steem it was showing any feed. After a change of the server everything is running smoothly again!
Now I know why esteem wasn’t working on my iPhone just switch it as well and working great.

I think it's because the data is taken from the new hivemind servers..
That's also why ur followers and so on arent alphabetical anymore.

I really don't know - but I also had some issues with the beem library when I am using the default steemit-node.
They are changing stuff all the time and are not really on the same version as other nodes. I really don't know and after finding the way to use a specific other node ( I am using the msp node) I don't care anymore :)

I am not sure, I was over in the PAL discord, venting about the issue, and Crinsomclad just let us know that steemit inc is now aware of the problem and are working on restoration to normalcy.
It was about two hours ago that it seemed hit my page.
Can you comment about the address of a working full node.

Is it cause for concern in terms of account safety? I heard hivemind might be the problem, but since I don't know the ins and outs of the tech don't know how that would affect this...

Do you have any specific details on what specific API calls or API namespace(s) have problems and how these problems manifest? I am currently doing a more portable, not completely API compatible rewrite of the Python asyncsteem library, and I happen to be working on node health check code right now. So if there is a way to test for the specific problems you are referring to, I would love to add a test for that to my code.
