Steemit, Five years in a chain
This week I wrote a publication for a contest in which we celebrate 5 years of the birth of Steemit, according to what I read on March 24, 2016 the platform was launched that would change the way of doing Blogger forever.
In that post I mentioned that 200 words was a very small limit to write about this topic, so I decided to write about it, in English and in the community that Project HOPE has seen me grow.
Moments.
Honestly sorry I wasn't here from the beginning. I came to Steemit shortly after the Steem hit its all-time high of between $ 6 and $ 8 (Correct me if I'm wrong). From that moment, a great journey began for me in this world of cryptocurrencies and networks based on Blockchain.
In Steemit I have lived great moments, but also moments of anguish, every time I know a fork was approaching I would start a discussion because many of us did not know what would happen, how many publications we read about HF20 and HF21.
The most difficult moments for me on this platform were from the beginning until the end of 2018. Frustrated by the low rewards, I tried to abandon, stop publishing and give up the attempt to generate income through this medium, on several occasions.
At the end of that year I met the man who was going to change my story on Steemit @crypto.piotr. That December 2018 he organized a kind of collection that he called "Santa Visit to Venezuela" and the result of this initiative was that I obtained my first enough coins to make a market. At that time there were no support accounts that exist today @steemcurator01, @steemcurator02 or @steemitblog initiatives.
The appearance of @crypto.piotr on stage marked a before and after in my life as steemians, there I began a learning process that lasts to this day. Perhaps financially I have not achieved much, however, I have received enough to bring food to my family.
Today all my income comes from this platform, and my greatest commitment is with Steemit, although I write on other platforms (hive, blurt) occasionally, my most time online is dedicated to Steemit.
This year I got to know the Steem Venezuela community and I started to write more in my native language, I participate in #thediarygame and I share my time in these two communities, Project HOPE and Steem Venezuela, I have also had the support of @steemcurator01 and @steemcurator05 on some occasions.
In Steemit I learned about cryptocurrencies, here I learned to write, here I established relationships, here I work, here I am and here I plan to stay
Happy birthday to Steemit!

hi @fucho80,
you are absolutely right, @crypto.piotr is one of those people that when you know him well he makes a positive mark on your life, from him you can learn many things, I regret not having started earlier in steemit but as they say in my country it is never too late when the opportunity comes.
Hello friend @trabajosdelsiglo, Thanks for your comment. Without a doubt, Piotr has boosted the careers of many people on this platform.
I think that this is one of the most used expressions in this medium: "because I did not know before Steemit" "I wish I knew blockchain before"
I'm sorry for that too.
regards!
Hello dear friend, what a nice post, I am happy for you and your family, good that you were able to find this way to generate income and also meet great people like @cryto.piotr I am also proud of that and I hope that this family continues to grow and bear fruit!!! Greetings and many successes to you.
@franyeligonzalez good to have you here. Sure, this platform has become my biggest source of income and I am not ashamed to say it, I feel that it is the great opportunity that God gave me.
here we are, trying to grow and diversify funds, to generate other income from what I perceive here, but everything comes from this platform.
Thanks for the support!
Thank you for writing this post, for me you have become a spokesman for everyone, I only have three years on the platform, which has given me great satisfaction, some monetary, certainly never had the opportunity to be in a truly supportive community, really friendly, those who live in Venezuela know the great support that this gives us, my respect for you and thanks again.
The truth is that I am very happy that you feel identified with this publication and what I wrote in it. Whenever I write about this topic I am sure that I lack many experiences that I should include, only that one publication is not enough.
I am convinced that we have a long way to go.
Take good care of yourself, greetings!
It is great to see that you are still a steemian. Steemit is a home to us all and I hope we build our home strong.
Congratulations
