Today I went walking around my parents neighborhood and found a house for sale that doesn't need much remodeling to make it perfect for my family. What are your thoughts?

It's beautiful. I would buy it in a heartbeat. I can see children and dogs playing and having fun there. Definitely a yea.
@snapperlize it has a lot of character and is unique. Beautiful and spacious. Yes definitely a lot of yard for kids and pets to run around... I have a couple more to visit in the same area then make the choice. I have to consult with my contractors and compare remodel costs as well... once a choice is made I will post about it.
I think being able to live in a house like that would be a longterm dream come true for my family. Looks really nice, environment, design, size, locale and all
