Why Aceh is not independent ?
There are many reasons to answer why Aceh has not been independent yet. Merdeka is a very sensitive word for the ears of the Acehnese people. Aceh was once infatuated with the imagination of an independent state, a hope that until now has not accomplished. After Suharto stepped down from his power throne the spirit of freedom became more explosive in the minds of the people of Aceh. But still the big desire is a figment. Why Aceh has not been independent yet, why is it happening?
The first condition for the achievement of a nation's independence is the desire for independence. It is impossible for a nation to achieve independence without the desire to escape from foreign colonial grips and colonies.
Every nation who wants independence on this earth must fight for their own freedom with all the ability possessed, from property, energy to life. So whether the failure of Aceh for independence because there is no desire for independence?
The Great Wave of Free Aceh Movement can be said as the reform euphoria rages. Not without reason, the joining of many youths more because of the resistance factor against the rampant military stance at the time, very merely lela not a bit not because of ideological factors. When the Military Operation Period (DOM) came into effect from the period 1989-1998, the Indonesian military had been arbitrary against the people like animals without humanity. This makes them have no choice but to ride the mountain, in the vast forest to join the combatants.
The most fundamental weakness of this movement is the failure to plant and grow the ideology of Aceh Merdeka or better known as Acehnese nationalism to the cadres, both military and civilian. The existence of ideological cadres is very important for a movement. Long before the declaration of Aceh's independence, Hasan Tiro had devised an ideological framework as a line of struggle. The concept of peak eye jacket aneuk nanggroe has long been thought by Hasan Tiro. But in the course of their struggle more to the resistance to the violence of TNI / POLRI wrapped with the issue of independence.

Not a few of those who struggle for independence have not fully understood how the concepts and ideas of Acehnese nationalism. So what we see after that, the independence treatise initiated by Hasan Tiro can simply disappear (sirna). The breakup of the ideological transmission chain is a severe blow that must be a big lesson for ideological cadres who are still fighting for independence for Aceh.
Hasan Tiro builds an ideological framework by reintegrating Aceh's fading identity, Aceh's identity as a nation plays an important role in raising Aceh's identity to know who Aceh is. Hence the status of Aceh declared by hasan Tiro is a successor state or a state of connection from the magnificent kingdom of Aceh in the past, not a new state of equality and shame.
The historical romance echoed by Hasan Tiro must be acknowledged quite successfully in uplifting Aceh's sense of superiority in the presence of other nations. These two aspects are fundamental to the construction of the ideology of Aceh Merdeka.
While still guerrilla aspect becomes the main doctrine of the struggle. Besides also teaching political science to the early cadres. Beyond this cadre, identity and sense of superiority are also transferred to civil society through leaflets distributed to nearby villages.
But when the booming young men joined, the senior elite of GAM seemed to be overwhelmingly reinstating the independence treatise that Hasan Tiro had once predicted might be the incessant violence and repressive attitude by the Indonesian military which was the main reason for this transi- tion process. Both the military and civilians are more focused on saving lives and bodies from Indonesian military bullets and ammunition.
With the stalled process of transmission of this ideology resulted in uneven distribution. Therefore the consequence is that this liberating treatise does not reach the wider community as an awareness and knowledge system. Ideological awareness is the basic foundation for removing society from the comfort zone. Inadequate support and involvement of the established class (urban dominant) because of their reluctance to get out of the comfort zone, as if they do not want to know about it. We know that in addition to physical warfare and certainly diplomacy, the most important thing to achieve independence is the support of the people.
And hasan Ditiro he think aceh already independent then he is willing to go back to his aceh tau-tau it's just peace.
he was very disappointed before he died.
