Litecoin and why YOU should watch for it.
Litecoin was created by Charles Lee in October 7th, 2011, roughly 3 years after Bitcoin. With similar properties, Litecoin was "coined" as being the Silver to bitcoin's Gold! Sporting faster block time's, Segwit support as well as lightning speed confirmations, Litecoin is shown to be a quicker and more liquid version of Bitcoin. From 4$ USD in March 2017, Litecoin’s price has since SKYROCKETED upwards by more then 1000%! Now stabilizing at 45$ USD during the time of this post.
You may be wondering, If it's so similar to Bitcoin.. Why wouldn't i just use Bitcoin?
Now, that's a very good question. Due to the approaching introduction of Segwit to Bitcoin, there will be a new program called Atomic Swapping where one can swap Bitcoin directly for Litecoins instantaneously at a to be designated market ratio
(hypothetical example: 1 Bitcoin : 4 Litecoin)
Litecoin is already part of the Big Two on Coinbase/GDAX, Boasting some of the largest numbers out of the other altcoins available on exchanges, It has also been showing great growth during these hard economic day's in the crypto world.
I highly recommend other's to look into this futuristic coin and to leave your opinion on LTC in the comments!
