Birthdays are obviously a time for celebration and carefree fun. They are a time when the birthday boy or girl are center stage and it’s all about them. And what’s wrong with that? We all need a boost from time to time. Most of us have horribly busy lives which are chock full of schedules and deadlines. Children, the originators of carefree fun, are not even immune to the hectic pace of life these days. Below is a greeting that celebrates the star of the day. Open your presents with exuberant anticipation.

But don’t overdo it or else you may need mouth to mouth resuscitation.

Be a clown; be a joker; jump up high and laugh out loud.

Reality check – You’re not as fit as you once were; no need to be so proud.

Have a slice of chocolate cake; maybe two.

But just be careful not to add a pound or few.

Who are we kidding? Who has time for a party?
